The Brazil international believes that the Blaugrana are still a work in progress despite thumping Ajax 4-0 in the Champions League and hails Neymar's humble attitudeDani Alves has stressed that Barcelona are a team in transition following the arrival of Gerardo Martino this summer and believes that they will only get better over the course of the season.
The Catalans recorded a 4-0 victory over Ajax on Wednesday to get their Champions League campaign under way, yet the Brazil international feels that they still have room for improvement.
"We are still in transition as we seek our best version and it's evidently not easy," he told Barca TV.
"I think we're on the right track and, although we've made adjustments to the team, we're still winning.
"What we're doing is not so different but we are introducing new things to counter certain teams that just come to defend and we're looking into ideas for creating more goalscoring chances.
"We know that there are still things to do, how the team should be coordinated when creating pressure or bringing our lines together more, but things will work out in time."
The defender went on to praise Neymar's humble attitude since his summer move from Santos.
"Neymar is an easy lad to get on with," Alves enthused. "He's modest even though he's one of the best. He's still learning and trying to improve, both professionally and personally.
"It's not easy when people come here thinking they already know it all but he hasn't come with that attitude."
