The 25-year-old, who will be moving to the Liberty Stadium in the summer, feels let down by supporters after being badly received since news of his departure emerged
Goal.com exclusively revealed back in April that Canas would move to the Liberty Stadium after refusing to sign a contract extension with the Liga club.
The 25-year-old has played for Verdiblancos since 2004, featuring in over 150 games for both the first team and the B side.
"Jose has done very well this season, even though he is leaving," Alvaro Torres told The Sun. "He wanted the club to receive money for him but that was not possible.
"Jose has given Real Betis everything but maybe the fans don't understand that."
