'He is the best coach in the world' - Benzema hails Mourinho's contract extension

The Frenchman has expressed his delight with the Portuguese trainer's contract renewal, and has revealed that he wants to win the Ballon d'Or at some point
Karim Benzema has hailed Jose Mourinho's contract extension at Real Madrid as he described the Portuguese as the best coach in the world.

The former Inter boss inked a new deal that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until June 2016 on Tuesday, and Benzema praised his trainer for the impact he has already made on the team.

"I'm happy Mourinho is staying on because he is the best coach in the world. He's given us things we lacked, and we improved and won the league title thanks to him," Benzema was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

The France international then went on to discuss his personal ambitions, and admitted that he hopes to win the Ballon d'Or one day.

"I dream about winning the Ballon d'Or. Everyone has an objective in mind and I think about that often. I work hard and hope to win it some day."

Benzema netted 21 goals in 34 La Liga appearances this term.
