The young Spanish attacker has stated he will get the European trophy inked onto his body if his club emerge victorious in the finale of the competition on May 9
Athletic Bilbao forward Iker Muniain has promised to get the Europa League trophy tattooed on his body if the Basque club defeat Atletico Madrid in next week's final.
The two Liga sides come face-to-face in the Uefa competition's showpiece event on Wednesday in Bucharest and the youngster has stated that if his team emerge victorious, he will celebrate in a rather unconventional manner.
"If we win I will get tattoo the Europa League cup [on my body]," the striker was quoted as saying by AS.
Muniain was also keen to state that victory in the European final would take preference over winning the Copa del Rey which the club will contest at the end of the month versus Barcelona.
"Although it is difficult to choose, you can win the [Spanish] cup more often so [I'd rather win] the Europa League," he added.
The 19-year-old also had some words to say on the Basque team's coach, Marcelo Bielsa, who has so far enjoyed a highly successful maiden campaign at the club.
"We have been taught things that we were missing, such as the ambition to really go for games. He [Bielsa] is very excited about this team," he concluded.
Muniain has scored five goals in the Europa League in 15 appearances this term.
