Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli says that Roma made life difficult for the Bianconeri in Sunday's Serie A encounter, despite running out 3-0 winners.
Arturo Vidal gave Juventus the lead after 17 minutes of play before Leonardo Bonucci and Mirko Vucinic put the match to bed after the break.
However, Barzagli stressed that it was not an easy win for the reigning Italian champions.
"It was a difficult, hard-fought encounter," the centre-back told the club's official website.
"Roma have great players and caused us some problems but we did really well to give so little away and make the most of the chances we created."
Juventus moved eight points clear of Roma following Sunday's win but Barzagli echoed the sentiments of coach Antonio Conte in declaring that the title race is by no means over just yet.
"It's perhaps best not to think about the table at the moment," he continued. "We have a considerable advantage now but there are too many games to be played and we mustn't let our guard down."
