The Rossoneri boss has admitted that his side must start winning matches after the winter break following a disappointing loss to Inter on Sunday

AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri says his side can have no complaints about their 1-0 defeat to Inter at San Siro on Sunday.

The Rossoneri sit 13th in Serie A, having won just four of their opening 17 games this season, with the away loss to their city rivals their sixth defeat already.

Allegri believes that his troops' level dipped in the closing stages against the Nerazzurri prior to Rodrigo Palacio's late winner and admitted that they need to start winning soon.

"We dropped a bit for the last 20 minutes and we could have done better in the final 20 metres and I believe the players and I have nothing to complain about," he told reporters.

"They did better than us in the last 20 minutes and they managed to surprise us late on. We have to improve in the league but we’re the only Italian side in the last 16 of the Champions League.

"We also have the Italian cup. I saw a good game. Unfortunately we’re behind in the league and we have to start winning."

Milan begin 2014 by hosting Atalanta in Serie A on January 6 before a trip to Sassuolo.
