AC Milan president Berlusconi says Allegri's future will be decided by results

The Rossoneri chief has refused to back the 45-year-old manager over his future at the San Siro and says his fate will be decided by results
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi says his side's upcoming results will decide the fate of coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Berlusconi has refused to publicly support his coach over his future and whether he'll still be at the San Siro next season, with the Rossoneri currently lying seventh in the Serie A table.

"The results will make his future clear," Berlusconi told Antenna 3.

"I don’t want to say one way or the other right now - we’ll see what he achieves on the pitch.

"We have a rapport of friendship and respect, but there’s no need to look forward now."

The Milan president has previously attempted to bring former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola to the club, but without success.

Guardiola is currently on a break form football but is understood to be looking to enter management again during 2013.
