Vucinic calls for Juventus focus ahead of Lazio and Chelsea clashes

The Bianconeri forward has warned his team-mates not to be complacent ahead of facing Vladimir Petkovic's men on Saturday then Roberto Di Matteo's side in the midweek
Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic has called for concentration of his team-mates going into their crucial clashes with Lazio and Chelsea this week.

The reigning Serie A champions have some tough games ahead of them domestically as well as in the Champions League, and the Biancocelesti will be looking to take advantage of the giants' tiring schedule.

The Montenegro international is aware about the critical situation in front of his team and insists they must face the challenge head-on.

"We cannot drop our guard this week," the former Roma striker was quoted as saying on Juventus' official website.

"These are three games which could determine the destiny of our season, between the Scudetto and the Champions League. We cannot afford to put a foot wrong, especially against Chelsea."

Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah agrees with his team-mate that The Old Lady has to keep working hard in order to meet their goal this term.

"We’ve started the season well and taken a lot of points, but there are still plenty of games to play and we need to hang in there," he told reporters.

Juventus sit top of Serie A with an eight-point lead over fifth-placed Lazio, whose captain - Stefano Mauri - will miss their match after getting sent off against Roma last weekend. The clash is set to start at 18.00 CET (17:00 GMT) on Saturday.
