The Netherlands international could leave the Italian capital for an adventure in the Premier League, as Spurs are considering making a move for the Roma goalkeeperRob Jansen, the agent of Maarten Stekelenburg, has claimed Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Roma goalkeeper.
The Premier League side are looking to bolster their squad with the addition a new man between the sticks this summer, and have also been linked with Inter's Julio Cesar and Olympique Lyonnais glovesman Hugo Lloris to date.
"Maarten is indeed one of the three goalkeepers on Tottenham's shortlist," Jansen stated to Voetbal International.
"He plays for a big club right now and is happy [at Roma]. However, Tottenham are a big club as well, and it has always been a dream for Maarten to play in the Premier League."
The 29-year-old joined Roma from Ajax in the summer of 2011, and has a contract with the Giallorossi until June 2015.
Nevertheless, the Olimpico side are believed to be ready to cash in on Stekelenburg if a good offer comes in.
