Parma general director Pietro Leonardi has hailed the quality of Sebastian Giovinco, describing the 25-year-old as the best player in Italy.
The Azzurri international is set to return to Juventus after the Bianconeri agreed to pay €11 million for the remaining 50 per cent of the striker's economic rights in June.
Giovinco played an important role at Parma in the last two seasons, and Leonardi admitted that it will not be easy to replace the diminutive attacker.
"Even after selling him, I insist that Giovinco is the best player in Italy," he is quoted by Ansa as saying.
"I would have liked to see him play more at Euro 2012 because he could have been decisive.
"Without him, our team is weaker on paper. We will see what Amauri and the other signings will do."
Parma finished eighth in Serie A last season, with 56 points from 38 matches.
