It has been claimed that the French side have offered the Partenopei €26 million for the player, but the Brazilian insists that the proposed deal is very much in its infancyParis Saint-Germain director Leonardo has played down speculation that the club have tabled a bid for Napoli's Ezequiel Lavezzi, claiming that there has been no concrete offer for the attacker.
It was reported on Friday morning that the Ligue 1 outfit made a €26 million bid for the Argentine and Inter president Massimo Moratti then stated that the French outfit had made an interesting offer for a player that they also covet.
Leonardo has denied claims of a formal approach but stopped short of denying that PSG have entered into negotiations with Napoli over signing Lavezzi.
"There is nothing concrete," the Brazilian told Sky Sport Italia. “It's still very early, but we are working to get the players we want at the right time. We're still at the beginning, but we want to recruit good players."
Leonardo was far more forthcoming, though, when it came to discussing Alessandro Del Piero bringing the curtain down on his Serie A career by lifting the Scudetto a fortnight ago.
"It’s a great story,” the former Selecao star enthused. “There is great admiration for him and he will forever remain one of the most important symbols in the history of Italian football."
Leonardo stepped down as Inter boss last summer to take up his current role with PSG.
