The Eagles suffered a second consecutive loss in pre-season as they fell 3-0 to the Malaysian Premier League side, who are led by former LionsXII coach V. Sundramoorthy

Geylang International fell to a second 3-0 loss in as many pre-season games when they went down the Negeri Sembilan on Wednesday night.

Having lost to Hougang United last Saturday, the Eagles failed to soar at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium against the Malaysian Premier League side, who are led by former LionsXII coach V. Sundramoorthy and also boasts their former captain Jozef Kaplan.

Haitian centre-back Jean Alexandre put the home side after 20 minutes with a half volley, with early goals in the second half from Shoufiq Khusaini and G. Puaneswaran condemning the S.League side to defeat.

Geylang coach Vedhamuthu Kanan saw his squad hit by injuries as well, with defender Kento Fukuda hobbling off during the warm-up before Khairulnizam Jumahat and K. Sathiaraj came off during the game with hamstring and knee injuries.

The team has bolstered their squad for the 2014 season with local signings Hafiz Nor, Ridhuan Muhammad, Aliff Shafaein, Hamqamaal Shah, Mustaqim Manzur, Sathiaraj, Siddiq Durimi, Nigel Vanu and foreigners Yuki Ichikawa, Fukuda, Joaquin Lopez, Leonel Felice and Franco Chivilo.

The Eagles will next take on Warriors FC on Saturday at the Bedok Stadium at 5p.m.
