MediaCorp confirmed today that the remaining three of the Singapore U23 team's preliminary round matches at the SEA Games will be shown 'LIVE' on local broadcast channels, okto, as well as Channel 5.
Singapore's opening match against Laos was only shown 'LIVE' on MediaCorp's online broadcast service Toggle, and drew much flak from fans who were unable to log on to the site to catch the match.
The lack of 'LIVE' coverage on television also drew flak from many Singapore supporters and commentators, for not being supportive enough of the country's sportsmen.
The Young Lions' match against a rampant Vietnam side on Tuesday, December 10, will be shown 'LIVE' on okto as well as on Toggle at 810pm, with a delayed telecast to air at 1010pm on Channel 5.
Friday's match against Brunei will start at 810pm on okto as well, with Channel 5 showing a delayed broadcast at 1130pm.
The much-anticipated showdown against Malaysia, that could eventually settle the qualifying slots in Group A, will be shown 'LIVE' on Channel 5 and Toggle at 525pm.
Singapore drew 1-1 with 10-man Laos in their first match of the SEA Games campaign as Vietnam ran out 7-0 winners of Brunei.
