The former Singapore international has been invited to the country to share with aspiring footballers his journey into football
Current joint-top scorer of the S.League, Aleksandar Duric, will be heading to Cambodia after the domestic league ends to provide insights of his life as a footballer to aspiring youth football players.
The Tampines Rovers forward confirmed that he will be visiting the Southeast Asian nation, although a date has not been confirmed, and also expressed his excitement at visiting the country after hearing much about it.
“Yes I am coming to visit your country (Cambodia) after my Singapore league ends,” Duric told Phnom Penh based online news, Thmey Thmey News.
“I am playing my last league game on November 4, so I will be coming after that, maybe by November 10.
“I am looking forward to visiting Cambodia as it will be my first time.”
Ahead of the 2013 SEA Games, Duric also told the website that he believed Malaysia and host Myanmar will be favourites to win the competition.
The oldest goalscorer in the Asean Football Federation Suzuki Cup who has had a long and storied career that has taken him from war-torn Bosnia to Singapore, is ready to help inspire budding Cambodian footballers.
“I will be coming to give and share some of my football achievements and the way how i become professional football player,” Duric added.
