The veteran Home United player broke his leg following an accidental collision with a Hong Kong player on Tuesday night

Further bad news compounded the Singapore team following the dismal 1-0 defeat to Hong Kong on Tuesday night at the Mong Kok Stadium.

Indra Sahdan who had to be stretchered off the field just before the half-time break and was replaced by Fazrul Nawaz, has been confirmed to have suffered a broken leg.

The Home United striker went in for a challenge with Hong Kong's Cheung Kin Fung and came out looking worse and needed immediate medical attention.

Goal can confirm that Singapore coach Bernd Stange has deemed Indra's injury as 'very serious' and the veteran player had indeed suffered a broken leg.

Stange had also accepted that the injury was the result of an accident and accepted Cheung's offer of an apology.

34-year-old Indra has been a recent recall to the national set-up following a lengthy exile having made his national debut more than a decade ago.
