thumbnail Hello,

The Goal.com team selects the S.League Team of the Week after the end of Round 3 and 4

Uniformed giants Home United and Warriors FC finally notched their first wins of the season with identical 3-0 successes over high-flying Tanjong Pagar United and Geylang International respectively, as we reflect on the best 11 players in Round 3 and 4 of the S.League.

In goal we have veteran Yazid Yasin, who was instrumental in Woodlands Wellington's 2-0 win over Home United with some good saves and a clean sheet. Teammate Rosman Sulaiman was a key figure in front of him in defence, turning in assured performances both against Home and Hougang United as the Rams backline held firm. Khalid Hamdaoui scored possibly the goal of the week with a vicious strike into the top corner against Home to seal victory, and demonstrated his class with a superb spin and no-look pass in one flowing movement against Hougang.

Syaqir Sulaiman has been a rock in the Hougang defence this season and he stood tall again in their defeat to Albirex Niigata (S) and the draw against Woodlands. Rounding up our back-three is Warriors FC's Abdil Qaiyyim, who impressed with a tireless display at centreback in their 3-0 victory over Geylang.

If you score a hat-trick, you are almost a certainty to make it to our TOTW and that was exactly what Jozef Kaplan did against Harimau Muda B, as the Eagles captain went home with the match ball in a 4-1 romp. Meanwhile, Home duo Lee Kwan Woo and Jordan Webb both notched their first goals of the season as they ran the show and led the Protectors to a 3-0 win over Tanjong Pagar.

Kento Nagasaki and Kazuki Sakamoto did likewise for Albirex, with the former scoring in both victories against Hougang and Brunei DPMM, as the latter notched the winner against DPMM to make it four wins in four for the early pacesetters.

Completing our team is Warriors hitman Mislav Karoglan, who scored the opener in typically clinical fashion against Geylang to open his accounts for the season to set his side on the way to an impressive victory.
