YEO’s extends S.League sponsorship for three more years

For an undisclosed fee, Vice President Marketing of YHS Pte Ltd, May Ngiam, announced that the partnership will go on for another three years

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) announced today that YEO’s, a long-time partner of the S.League, will extend its sponsorship for another three years.

Making it a decade as a co-title sponsor, YEO’s, a home-grown MNC, will join Great Eastern in supporting the local league for an undisclosed amount.

May Ngiam, Vice President, Marketing of YHS Pte Ltd was glad to announce the extension at the Jalan Besar Stadium this afternoon, saying that the passion shown by the FAS in uplifting local football influenced YEO’s decision to continue their role in the S.League.

“One of our goals with the sponsorship is to increase the community outreach using the S.League," she noted.

"The ‘H-TWO-O Dream Team’ was a huge success and I’m glad to see that players, out of nothing, have been given the opportunity to make it big in professional clubs.”

She also mentioned that YEO’s will look into putting women’s football on the map with future events and outreach programmes.

“We have seen growth over the years but the satisfaction comes from getting the community together as well as giving young players the chance to chase their dreams," Ngiam added.

Success stories like Samuel Benjamin, Ignatius Ang and Afiq Mat Noor from the Courts Young Lions, Benedict Chua from Hougang United FC, Sebastian Jon Lafour from Geylang International and Daniel Farhan from Tampines Rovers amongst others, were on hand to toast to the sponsorship renewal.

CEO of the S.League Lim Chin was the "happiest man" after hearing news of the sponsoship renewal.

"The renewal of YEO's commitment to the S.League will certainly give the new season of the 2013 Great Eastern YEO's S.League a further boost and, together with a new competition format, more foreign flair and bigger prize money this season looks set to be very competitive and exciting," he confidently said.

The President of the FAS, Zainudin Nordin, also graced the event with his presence.
