Admission is free for the curtain raiser between 2012 S.League champions Tampines Rovers and Singapore Cup winners Warriors FC at Jalan Besar Stadium on Friday night

With the hype surrounding the start of the 2013 Great Eastern YEO’S S.League on February 20, 2012 S.League champions Tampines Rovers FC and RHB Singapore Cup winners Warriors FC will square up in the annual curtain raiser on Friday, February 15 in the Great Eastern Charity Shield.

Great Eastern Life Assurance Co Ltd, who came on board as the title sponsor for the 2012 Charity Shield, will continue their charity efforts this year by raising funds for their adopted charities - MINDS Fernvale Gardens School and AWWA Community Home for Senior Citizens - via a five-a-side football tournament before the main event.

This year’s Charity Shield will see an exciting array of pre-match activities, including a lucky draw where tablets, 40-inch TVs and cameras will be given out. Another highlight will be the emcee for the evening, the very popular comedian and MediaCorp celebrity, Suhaimi Yusof.

Two merchandise booths carrying S.League clubs' merchandise will be open from 6p.m. at the North and South gates, and fans can expect to see the booths in operation for all ‘LIVE’ S.League matches in 2013.

Admission is free for all from 5p.m. onwards.
