Singapore fell to Bahrain in their international friendly match at the Bahrain National stadium in Riffa as part of the warm-up match before their 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers against Jordan on February 6.

Mahmood Merza Al Ajmi of Albanian Super League club KF Tirana, scored in each half while Sami Alhusni added his team's third of the night in the closing stages of the game.

Singapore’s consolation goal was scored through defender Safuwan Baharudin after the restart and the visitors ended the match with ten men after second half substitute Shakir Hamzah was sent off following a second bookable offence for dissent.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 20th minutes after Al Ajmi was left unmarked in the penalty box and the midfielder made no mistake from close range.

Trailing a goal down, interim Singapore coach V.Sundramoorthy made ten substitutions in the second-half with Safuwan Baharudin the only player retained fr.

But despite having fresh legs on the field, the home side doubled their lead as Al Ajmi added a second, pouncing on a loose ball after it rocketed off the crossbar twelve minutes from the restart.

Singapore reduced the deficit twenty minutes from time as a mix-up in Bahrain's defence presented a chance for Safuwan to drill a shot past the Bahrain goalkeeper.

The two-goal margin was restored six minutes from time as Sami Mohamed Alhusini sent in a strong header to the back of the net.

‎Singapore will next travel to Amman for their qualifiers against Jordan next Wednesday.

Jordan had earlier humbled Indonesia in a friendly match on Thursday as they saw off the South East Asian nation 5-0.

The hosts went to the break leading 2-0 courtesy of goals from Mahmoud Za’tara and Khalil Baneateyah in the 30th and 42nd minute respectively.

Eleven minutes after the restart, Ameer Deeb grabbed Jordan’s third goal from the penalty spot before Handi Ramdhan scored their fourth of the night two minutes later as he headed in the ball from a corner kick. Khalil grabbed his second in injury time to complete the rout.
