Tanjong Pagar United have announced that they will be holding a trial session for its women’s team on Sunday, January 20, via their social media page.

The female Jaguars won the double in 2012, after sweeping through the Football Association of Singapore Women’s Premier League and then going on to lift the Challenge Cup.

They won the league in style, winning all but one of their 14 matches as they remained unbeaten throughout and scored a staggering 89 goals while conceding only eight.

In the Cup final against Police Sports Association, a stunning free-kick from the league’s joint top scorer, Luo Jian Zhen, cancelled out Police’s early lead to pave the way for a 5-4 triumph in the dreaded penalty shootout.

The trial is open to those above the age of 16 years old, and those interested are to bring their NRIC along for identification purposes.

The trial will be held at the Queenstown Stadium and will commence at 4.30pm.
