The Malaysian football season is getting quickly underway. The draw for the 2013 Malaysia FA Cup will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Monday December 10.
On the same day, the fixtures for the 2013 Malaysian Super League will also be announced.
Johor FC, now known as Darul Takzim FC, have been the biggest movers pre-season, bringing on board national forward Safee Sali, as well European names such as former Spanish international Dani Guiza and Serie A midfielder Simone Del Nero. They are managed by Singapore's Fandi Ahmad.
The transfer deadline was December 6 and all Malaysian clubs have released their full squad list with LionsXII still yet to announce their new-look squad for 2013.
The new season will also see two fewer teams than the 2012 season, with only 12 teams participating. Kuala Lumpur FA, Kedah FA and the two East Malaysian teams, Sabah FA and Sarawak FA were relegated this year. Malaysian Premier League winners ATM FA and runners-up Pahang FA will be the only newcomers for the 2013 Malaysian Super League.
