At the AFC Cup draw held at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, both participating S.League clubs learnt their groupings in the regional tournament for next season.

S.League champions Tampines Rovers will be grouped in Group H along with Malaysia's Selangor FC, Vietnam's Saigon Xuan Thanh and India's Kingfisher East Bengal.

This will be the Stags' third successive AFC Cup campaign, and they will be hoping to do better than last year where they failed to make it out of the group stages.

Selangor will set up a tantalizing double-header with Tampines which may decide who finishes top of the group.

Meanwhile Singapore Cup winners SAFFC will be grouped in Group G along with Hong Kong's Kitchee FC, India's Churchill Brothers Sports Club and Indonesia's Semen Padang.

This will be their first time back in the competition since 2008 and they will hope to replicate the quarter-final finish they achieved back then.

They will face tough opposition in Kitchee, who achieved a semi-final finish in the RHB Singapore Cup back 2010 and also finished top of their group last year which featured Tampines.

The group stage is expected to kick off in early March next year.
