Four women coaches to conduct soccer clinics as part of Singapore America Soccer Exchange Programme

The Singapore America Soccer Exchange Programme kicked off earlier today with the opening ceremony held at Jalan Besar Stadium, the Football Association of Singapore’s [FAS] headquarters.

The event was graced by the United States Ambassador to Singapore, Mr David Adelman, FAS President, Mr Zainudin Nordin and representatives from the United States Embassy, NIKE Singapore as well as the FAS.

Under this programmes, four United States women coaches have flown here specifically to conduct football clinics for football enthusiasts from today until Saturday. They will also conduct motivational talks during their one-week stay.

The programme will also include a soccer clinic by the American coaches for the Special Olympics Singapore athletes.

In addition to the clinics, a talk will be conducted at the Andrew & Grace Home on Wednesday to raise the level of awareness of “Women’s Empowerment in Sports”.

There will also be a visit to the Jamiyah Orphanage this Friday as part of their community outreach programme.
