Singapore will be taking on Hong Kong at the Jalan Besar Stadium on August 15 as they set course for the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup in November.
But with more international dates available in the run up to the competition, there are still opportunities for more friendly matches.
Football Association of Thailand Secretary General, Ong-artj Kosinkha, let slip that the Thailand national team have been invited for a friendly match against the Lions.
He said: "We have a warm-up against Laos on August 15. For November 14 we have been invited by the Singapore FA and for November 18 we are looking at teams from the Middle East."
When contacted by Goal.com Singapore, a Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Spokesperson could not confirm the friendly match, but stated that more such friendlies were in the works.
“The Football Association of Singapore is working with several FA’s in arranging friendly matches with the Singapore National Team," said the spokesperson.
"In preparation for the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup, we are looking forward to adding more friendly matches, on top of the match against Hong Kong, scheduled on the August 15, 2012. More details will be released shortly.”
Singapore lost 1-0 to Hong Kong on June 1, at the Hong Kong Stadium. The Lions' last international match was the 2-0 loss to Malaysia in the second leg of the Causeway Challenge.
