'I would be shocked if Liverpool did not go for him this summer' - Craig Bellamy on Swansea City's Joe Allen

Craig Bellamy was fielded several questions from fans in Singapore where he also gave his thoughts on the new manager, training and future

In Singapore to promote the new Liverpool FC kit by Warrior Sports and raise awareness for his foundation in Sierra Leone, Craig Bellamy took the time to single out Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling as a player to watch for.

“There’s this boy called Raheem Sterling," said the Liverpool forward.

"He is a talent, give him some time to carve out a career.

"Fingers crossed that if he can knuckle down and focus on his training, he can grow to become a real star.

Bellamy also confidently touted the talents of Swansea star and Welsh team-mate Joe Allen, labelling him as a perfect acquisition for Liverpool.

“On the Wales front, I’d have to go with Swansea’s Joe Allen," said Bellamy.

"He’s special. He has made so many key plays for Swansea last season and I would be shocked if Liverpool did not go for him this summer.

"He’s a Brendan Rogers player, he fits Liverpool to a T.

"If Liverpool are able to secure him, they will have a real gem of a player.”
