The Kelantan coach admitted he is still searching for the right formula to combine his two new strikers ahead of the 2014 Malaysian Super League season
Kelantan head coach Steve Darby has admitted that two of his new strikers, Francis Forkey Doe and Mohamed Ghaddar, are yet to be able to work together well.
As the 2014 season draws closer, the new manager is still searching for ways to make the two import players the deadliest strike partnership for the coming campaign.
“We have to admit that the combination of Forkey Doe and Ghaddar so far is not up to the standard that we are hoping for," he told Berita Harian.
Darby insisted that if the partnership between the two import players did not work, then he still has other strikers to use upfront.
Both Forkey and Ghaddar were not playing at their best when they both failed to find the back of the net during their pre-season match against The President Warriors at Kota Bharu.
Former KAFA president Tan Sri Annuar Musa recently also stated that this season Kelantan are lacking top and elite players, with only 16 players classified as "grade A" players out of 22 full squad members.
