The Pahang FA have stated that they are not pleased with the decision made by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) on Amirulhadi’s transfer to JDT and have submitted an appeal to the association.
Amirulhadi made a shocking U-Turn to join Johor Darul Ta'zim despite already signing a new contract with Malaysia Cup 2013 champions Pahang, which forced the Elephants to file a complaint to FAM.
FAM through their Players’ Status Committee has reached a decision that his contract with Pahang was doubtful and has confirmed that the move to JDT is legal. However, Amirulhadi was fined RM25,000 by the FAM for failing to reveal the status of his contract.
According to The Star, Pahang FA Disciplinary Committee Chairman, Rizal Chek Hashim said, “We have sent our appeal to the FAM on Friday because we are no satisfied with their verdict on the case.”
“We want to know why FAM concluded that the contract that we gave to Amirul was null and void. We have been using the same contract template given to us by the FAM and it is strange now they found there’s something wrong with it,” he added.
The former national midfielder's unusual transfer has drawn attention from all the media and football fans in Malaysia after he surprisingly turned up at JDT’s official announcement of their new team for 2014.
