Kelantan is still searching for the right formula for next season after the four friendlies that they had failed to produce any wins
With the M-League kicking off in less than a months time, FA Cup champions Kelantan are still figuring out who will be their first eleven.
Not winning all four of their friendly matches also did not help their new coach Steve Darby in making the decision.
According to Sinar Harian, Steve said “Right now we are focusing on to strengthening the players because only strong players can play football and if the player is strong, the less he will get injured. So for the next 10 days, we will focus on that. We will look at players who can play three games in a row and only the best can make the cut.”
Steve Darby also added he will focus on the players’ fitness levels to avoid any injures on his players before the season starts.
Kelantan drew with PPBAPP 1-1, lost to 2-0 to Penang, 4-1 to Perak and recently 3-0 to Kedah, but according to Steve, his strategy was not to win the game, but to test the new players with the old players, including the import players.
