Kelantan swooped a total of five prizes at the 2013 National Football Awards, including the Most Valuable Player Award which went to skipper Badhri Radzi.

The 2013 National Football Awards (NFA) concluded on Saturday afternoon at the Grand Bluewave Hotel in Shah Alam with Kelantan taking a total of five prizes.

The Red Warriors skipper, Badhri Radzi, bagged the highest accolade of the proceedings with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award and he was also recognised as the Best Midfielder of the year.

His teammates Khairul Fahmi Che Mat and, now ex-colleague, Norfarhan Muhammad picked up the Best Goalkeeper and Best Striker Awards respectively.

The Kelantan Fan Club was also given recognition for being the Best Fan Club in the M-League.

Ex-LionsXII stalwart Baihakki Khaizan was the year’s Best Defender while ATM’s Marlon Alex James was given the Best Foreign Player Award.

The Best Coach Award went to 2013 Malaysia Cup-winning boss, Dollah Salleh while Sarawak’s Junior Eldstal was voted as the Most Promising Player of the season.

A total of 15 awards were given out on Saturday afternoon but Kelantan were the biggest winners as Badhri pipped Norshahrul Idlan Talaha to win the MVP award; one that the Johor Darul Takzim player has won for three years in a row since 2010.
