Johor Darul Takzim II manger, On Jabbar, is hoping that the experience from three new players will help youngsters in the team in their quest for promotion next season.
Johor Darul Takzim II (JDT II) are currently in their early preparations and are trying to complete their squad for next year’s Malaysian Premier League (MPL) campaign.
According to their manager, On Jabbar, the only players that are yet to be filled in their final squad for next season are the import players, which they have not decided on yet.
However, he is confident that they can gain promotion to the Malaysian Super League (MSL) next season with the arrival of three experienced and key players to the squad, namely Zaquan Adha and two former LionsXII players, Baihakki Khaizan and Shahril Ishak.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, On said: "We hope that the arrival of three senior players and 10 new players in JDT II will help boost confidence among the youngsters in the team.
"For next season we will have a combination of both young and experienced players.
"With the arrival of Zaquan, Baihakki and Shahril, I am confident that they can lead the young players and build a much stronger team compared to the previous seasons," he added.
JDT II, with Azmi Mohamed as head coach, are targeting promotion to the Super League next season, but On realises that this will not be an easy task.
