Transfer News: Former Canaries find way back to the nest

It's Premier League transfer news today as PDRM seek to pull an 'ATM' and M. Sivakumar leaves Perak for the Jangs


Astro Arena football analyst Hafizal Hamad today revealed on his Twitter account that the Canaries have secured the return of former players Fauzi Saari and Helmi Eliza from Felda United. The two had left Alor Star at the conclusion of the 2012 season when Kedah were relegated from the Super League. Hafizal also added that the northern outfit have also secured the contract extension for their national team duo; Baddrol Bakhtiar and Khyril Muhymeen for the 2014 season. The duo had been linked with an away move to other teams, after loyally staying with Kedah following their relegation last season.



Perak midfielder, M. Sivakumar, today announced on his Twitter account that he will be playing for Premier League side Negeri Sembilan in 2014. Before Perak, the 29-year old had played for Johor F.C., Felda United, and Sabah.


The Royal Malaysian Police football team have reportedly been pursuing top talents in the country to carry the team's challenge in the Premier League next season. On top of being linked with the recent Malaysia Cup winning coach Dollah Salleh and Sarawak's Booby Gonzalez, Sinar Harian today reported that PDRM have also secured the service of former Kedah and Malaysia defender Sabre Abu. The 26-year-old explained to the publication that although he had one more year to go in his contract with the Canaries, he had asked to be released in order to safeguard his future as a professional footballer. He also mentioned that he is looking forward to playing under PDRM's new coach, although he did not mention any names.
