Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) President, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, has voiced his opinion regarding Johor Football Association (JFA) President, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim's plan to step down (TMJ), saying that he should remain in his position even though Johor Darul Takzim failed to win any trophy this season.
TMJ earlier stated that he would resign from his current post if JDT fail to bring any trophy to the state.
Annuar wrote on Facebook: "TMJ does not need to step down [even though] they have gone trophyless, because he has brought a new breath of air to Johor.
"His contributions are really big and the club have really amazed me.
"Who knows, 2014 could be their year."
TMJ made the promise via the Johor Fan Club Facebook page that he was serious in trying to bring back the glory of the football to the state.
TMJ’s statement indicating his intention to step down came after JDT lost their second leg of the quarterfinal 6-1 to Kelantan and 8-5 on aggregates despite already leading the tie 4-2 in the first leg.
