Johor Darul Takzim goalkeeper, Al-Hafiz was quick to remind his teammates to remain focused for their next game despite having two goals cushion over defending champions Kelantan.
Hafiz, who picked up Watson’s Most Stylish Award after 90 minutes believed that they have to work hard in order to ensure safe path to the semi-finals of the Malaysia Cup.
Speaking after the game, Al-Hafiz said, “I am grateful because we managed to put ourselves in the driving seat for the second leg in Kelantan and we are going to do our best to qualify for the next round.”
“We have to work harder and hopefully we can score more goals in Kota Bharu and the win and this award will surely motivates me to work harder for our next game,” he added.
The Southern Tigers came away with a precious home win after a six-goal thriller which saw the home side beat defending champions 4-2 and put themselves favourite to qualify for the semi-final of Malaysia Cup.
