Kelantan head coach Bojan Hodak believes that his players can qualify for the next round of the tournament after kicking out east-coast rivals Terengganu last Tuesday
After kicking Terengganu out of the tournament last Tuesday, Kelantan are confident that they can qualify for the quarterfinals of the 2013 Malaysia Cup by winning their next match.
The 3-1 win away at Terengganu caused Red Warriors' head coach Bojan Hodak to believe that the win against their arch-rivals was a signal that his players can play well under pressure.
He also dismissed speculation that the defending champions will be kicked out of the tournament early.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Bojan said: "Like I’ve said before, we want to get positive results from our last two fixtures and the match against Terengganu has proved that we can get three points despite playing away from home.
"[Our] chance to qualify for the next round is still there for us and I am confident that we can be in the top eight, with the condition that we beat Pahang this Saturday," he added.
In their last match, Kelantan beat Terengganu 3-1 with goals coming from a Teregganu own goal, Indra Putra Mahayuddin, captain Badhri Radzi and Ashaari Shamsuddin scoring the consolation goal for the Turtles.
Commenting on the match, Bojan added: "Overall I am happy with the performance shown by the players.
"It was not easy to play in front of thousands of [opposing] fans."
