Terengganu head coach E. Elavarasan has described their win against Pahang at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah last Saturday as one that was lucky.
Commenting on the match, Elavarasan admitted that the visitors had more of the possession but the Turtles were lucky because Ramadhan Zauwawi took his freekick really well in injury time.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Elavarasan said: "We played well last night and the win is really important as it still give us a chance to qualify for the quarterfinals.
"It cannot be denied that Pahang had more opportunities to score but failed to do so.
"But this is football.
"The team who fails to take the advantage will be punished.
"However I still believe that Pahang is one of the favourites and strong teams in the group; same as Kelantan and Negeri Sembilan."
Terengganu, who registered their first win in the Malaysia Cup campaign, will face defending champions Kelantan next, and the timing couldn’t be better for the Turtles as the Red Warriors just suffered a defeat to Negeri Sembilan on their home soil.
Terengganu are on a tough mission to make it through to the next round as the poor start to the campaign sees them sitting at the bottom of their group with four points, but only three points separates them from the group leaders Negeri Sembilan.
