Negeri Sembilan Head Coach Ridzuan Abu Shah praised his player, Nazrin Nawi, for putting on a good performance in the game against Chelsea
An excellent display from Nazrin Nawi in the game against Chelsea has grabbed the attention of his coach at Negeri Sembilan, Ridzuan Abu Shah.
Nazrin started on the bench for the national team, but he put on a game-changing performance when entering in the second half, replacing one of Datuk K. Rajagopal’s favourite players S.Kunanlan.
According to Ridzuan, he is proud of the performance shown by his player in the game against Chelsea, despite Malaysia losing 4-1 to the Europa League champions.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Ridzuan said: "Nazrin has shown an incredible performance, despite only recently being called up to the team.
"I am happy with his achievement and hopefully he will continue his excellent form with us in the Malaysia Cup."
When commenting on the player, Ridzuan admitted that not a lot of people realized his potential because he rarely played last season.
But things were different this season where Nazrin was a regular starter in the Negeri Sembilan team.
However Ridzuan has advised his player to keep his discipline and always listen to the coach, noting that he is still young and can be a valuable asset for the national team in the long run.
