After making a bad start early to the season, Kelantan Head Coach Bojan Hodak is happy that his team managed to end the season among the top four in the Malaysian Super League this season, believing it signals that the Red Warriors still remain in the elite group of teams in the domestic league.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Bojan said: "I have reasons why I am happy, because we did not concede goals in our last five matches and we are amongst the best four teams, which gives us huge confidence and a morale boost ahead of the Malaysia Cup campaign later on.
"The reason why we have played better since earlier in the season is because we (now) have Dickson Nwakaeme, Fakri Saarani and Farisham Ismail, their arrivals helped us a lot.”
Kelantan defeated champions LionsXII in their last game of the season 2-0, with goals scored by captain marvel Badri Radzi and also Dickson Nwakaeme.
Kelantan finished the season behind champions LionsXII, Selangor and Johor Darul Takzim.
They also retained their FA Cup trophy and qualified for the AFC Cup next season.
