Johor Darul Takzim Head Coach Fandi Ahmad has blasted some of his players who, according to him, failed to show proper determination, costing them three points against Felda United on Tuesday.
According to Sinar Harian, Fandi was angry that his players were too complacent and did not show enough fortitude to win, as the team were only able to draw 1-1 against the Settlers at home.
Fandi Ahmad said: "This was what the players gave.
"They didn’t have the mentality to win at all [and] the result was disappointing.
"We have shown consistency from the beginning of the season but towards the end, players are starting to create problems and it has affected the team.
"I am not pointing fingers at anyone, but they have to realize their mistakes and change their attitudes.
"What would you feel if you had controlled the game but you could not score a goal? What I want the players to show that they want to play for the team."
Fandi did however praise Tuah Iskandar, stating that even though the wingback has a small figure, he has great determination and he wishes to have more players like Tuah in his team.
JDT’s failure to get all three points has dropped them to third place, with Selangor managing to leapfrog them after defeating PKNS 2-1, albeit on goal difference only.
