Ahead of the Malaysian Super League clash between Perak and LionsXII on Tuesday, Seladangs’ Head Coach Azraai Khor has set his sights on revenge.
The league leaders beat Perak 2-1 at the Jalan Besar Stadium earlier this season and the 60-year-old wants to even the score, The Star reported.
Azraai said: “The Lions have used their home ground advantage of playing on their artificial pitch to record most of their wins.
“I want to show them that we are capable of beating them on a grass pitch and prevent them from taking the title to Singapore.”
The Seladangs will be boosted by the return of players shelved due to injuries and will have the advantage over the Singapore side as the Lions will be without their key players.
“We beat Pahang 2-1 in our last match last Saturday and it has given us a big boost.
“Our injured players are also back and we now have more depth in the team,” Azraai declared.
Baihakki Khaizan, Nazrul Nazari and Hafiz Sujad have been suspended while Faris Ramli has National Service commitments.
V. Sundramoorthy’s LionsXII currently lead the MSL table by four points with three matches left to play but Azraai still remains confident.
“We are now clear of the relegation zone.
“There is no pressure to preserve our status in the top flight any more.
“The Lions are under more pressure to produce a result,” Azraai said.
