The President of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), Sultan Ahmad Shah, has voiced out his disappointment over Khairy Jamaluddin's comments on the FAM and the Pahang FA
Sultan Ahmad Shah said that the decision to hold the re-arranged FA Cup semi-final match between Pahang and Johor Darul Takzim at National Stadium, Bukit Jalil, was actually according to their rules and regulations.
According to Awani Portal, he said: "This is the decision made by the Competitions Committee, and it’s not my decision because if it is up to me, it is better for us to play at Kuantan.
"So the statement that said the FAM are unfair should not be said by the person who has a responsibility towards the sports in Malaysia," he added.
Khairy recently criticised the integrity and fair play of the FAM, describing them and the Pahang Football Association as unprofessional.
He said that the FAM was not being fair by allocating 60,000 tickets to the PFA, when the PFA were the ones at fault by failing to control their crowd which led to the initial game being postponed.
