thumbnail Hello,

LionsXII head coach was very proud of his players' tenacity against a very strong Selangor side who kept breathing down his neck

LionsXII made the trip to Shah Alam Stadium to take on Selangor in their bid to stay at the top of the Malaysian Super League (MSL) table and they did exactly that.

Employing a very defensive strategy, V. Sundramoorthy's forces put as many players behind the ball as possible to keep out Selangor's advances to take away one point in the goalless draw.

"I am very proud of my boys and I made sure that they didn't make any mistakes," Sundram said at the press conference after the match.

"I wouldn't even dare talk about our chances at scoring because Selangor was breathing down our necks,

"Looking forward, we have important games and first it will be away against Terengganu.

"The plan is to take it one game at a time," the LionsXII coach added.

The LionsXII are still at the top of the table with 28 points and will travel to Terenganu for their next MSL match.
