Speaking to the reporters after the game, he said "We wanted to win but the draw was a fair result. I am happy with the commitment of all my players tonight. They showed great spirit to fight back. The draw has given us a chance to still make it through to next round."
"I did not field (my) first eleven because of the big match after this in the local competition. However, we do miss Forkey Doe and hopefully he will be back soon as we do really need him to lead the attack," he added.
Speaking about their last game in the group, Irfan said "We have to rely on other final match results to qualify. East Bengal has to win against Sai Gon and we also have to win against Singapore Tampines."
In this game, Selangor were trailing before making a great comeback to score two goals through Shukor Jusoh and Adib Aizuddin, which clinched a crucial point in their quest to qualify for the next round of the AFC Cup.
