After inconsistent performances with Johor Darul Takzim, midfielder Safiq Rahim has reportedly shown interest to play under his former coach, K. Devan at Felda United.
Despite the negotiations being in its early stages, Secretary-general of Felda United, Kamarruddin Mohamad, did not reject the possibility of Safiq playing with Felda United.
Matters should be resolved by of April 26 when the Settlers face Pahang.
That confirmation has automatically denied rumours that said Safiq will be joining teams such as Sime Darby, Perak and also ATM, who were also interested in the national captain.
"We expect to get Safiq Rahim's services.
"We also have negotiated with JDT and have sent an offer letter to JDT and the player," Kamaruddin told Nadi Arena.
If Safiq does come to Felda United, it will be a timely arrival for K. Devan's side as they are currently struggling in the league, with only two wins from 12 games and currently lie in the 10th spot in the league, just above T-Team and bottom-of-the-table Negeri Sembilan.
