The Young Tigers' duo will soon don the colours of Japanese side, FC Ryukyu, after settling some contractual matters
Wan Zack Haikal and Nazirul Naim Che Hashim from Harimau Muda will soon play their football in Japan with third division club FC Ryukyu.
The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and FC Ryukyu have reached an agreement for the transfer of both players and they could be contracted by the end of the week after certain conditions have been ironed out.
It was reported on Foxsports.my that the Young Tigers’ coach, Ong Kim Swee, wants to ensure that a ‘Nazmi Faiz’ scenario doesn’t repeat itself.
He said: “We should be more concerned when transfering players overseas because we do not want what happened to Nazmi Faiz to happen again.”
Wan Zack, 22, is clearly excited about his future with the Japanese club and aims to help them reach their targets.
“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and a dream for every player.
“I hope to use this opportunity to improve my football,” the 22-year-old added.
Besides these two players, rumour has it that either Gary Steven Robbat or Fadhli Shas was also offered a contract.
