Terengganu's head coach was all smiles and full of praise when his players showed good spirit to come away with three points at Shah AlamE. Elavarasan was happy that his team managed to go to Shah Alam and grab three points away from home in the Malysian Super League (MSL).
"Our target was to go to Shah Alam and grab three crucial points and we made it happen," Ela told Sinar Harian.
According to Ela, the two goals scored in the first half was enough to lift their spirits as the Kuala Terengganu faithful were lifted from the relegation zone.
"When Effa Owona and Abdul Manaf scored, the players were more relaxed and played with no pressure.
"Despite PKNS's efforts to score a goal, our players were excellent in keeping the equalizer out," said Ela.
Meanwhile, Elavarasan praised the travelling fans who came to give full support the Turtles for the Super League tie.
"Praise [also] has to be given to our supporters for standing behind us whether we win or lose.
"I hope they can fill up the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah stadium once again, especially when we face T-Team later on," added Ela.
After a poor start to the season, Terengganu are now 9th in the MSL after two consecutive wins against ATM and PKNS.
