Irfan Bakti has agreed with the decision made by the referee to reverse the red card given to Shukor Jusoh, claiming it was an honest mistake by himSelangor boss Irfan Bakti said that he has no problems whatsoever with the referee's decision in reversing the red card decision against Shukor Jusoh.
The brave call by referee Mohd Amirul Izwan Yaacob was described as spot-on by Irfan, after he called back Shukor as he was walking back to the changing room.
Speaking to Bernama, Irfan said he was informed by the assistant referee that Amirul misread the number he wrote in his book.
"Yes Shukor deserved to receive a yellow card, but it was not his second yellow. Maybe Amirul thought it was Nasriq, who did receive a yellow card earlier. Nasriq's number is six but probably it looked like eight to him at that moment. It was an honest mistake," said former Terengganu coach.
Irfan meanwhile was proud of his players' fighting spirit in turning the game around after trailing 0-2 at half time.
"We have five or six players out with injuries but their replacements were amazing. They did really well to come back into the game and I have to give credit to every player on that night," he added.
