Sundram: Hariss will be back against Johor

Speaking after the abandoned match against PKNS the LionsXII coach said form needs to be improved while the match commissioner blamed bad weather

Going a goal down after just 3 minutes of play, LionsXII would have been relieved as the match was called off.

But with the weather going from bad to worse both teams had little to complain when the referee reluctantly halted the match on 38 minutes following Sundramoorthy's one-man pitch invasion.

Protesting the state of the field and supported by his PKNS counterpart the officials stopped the match and it was finally decided to postpone the game to the following day.

Match Commissioner, Jalaluddin Kamaruddin speaking on the match postponement said: "We have to postpone the game because the conditions on the pitch were really bad. The match could not be continued tonight as the floodlights were below the required level."

"Hence, the match will be postponed to tomorrow [at the same time] with the first choice venue being Stadium MBPJ and second choice would be Shah Alam Stadium. Both teams have agreed to the scores being reset to 0-0 but the [yellow] cards will stay"

Sundram speaking after the game briefly spoke on his team's chances for the season and added: "Its difficult to say now whether or not this team could emulate last season’s success, we have good up and coming young players coming up through the ranks. Maybe with more training and exposure to competitive matches, hopefully we’ll pick (the form) up along the way.

The LionsXII coach also let on that Hariss Harun, will most likely be back against Johor next month.
