The loss at Shah Alam Stadium was LionsXII's first in three games, after winning their opening two matches 1-0. It saw them drop to fourth in the table having been joint-top before and they will be keen to get back on track and keep up the pressure on Pahang FA, who are the only team with a perfect record thus far.
The home side will be missing striker Fazrul Nawaz, who has started all the games so far, thanks to a silly two-footed challenge that saw him receive the red card in the dying stages of the PKNS game. Sundram looks likely to opt for Shahfiq Ghani as a direct replacement, with the ex-Young Lions man having made one appearance from the bench this season.
Shakir Hamzah should deputise at left-back, as per the home game against Selangor, with Irwan Shah pushed up further to slot into left midfield.
The dangerman for Terengganu will be Cameroonian striker Jean-Emmanuel Effa Owona, who hit 23 goals in 29 games for Negeri Sembilan last season. Elsewhere, the hard-tackling duo of Ahmad Nordin Alias and Ismail Faruqi Asha'ri will give Isa Halim and Hafiz Sujad a battle in central midfield.
Terengganu lost their last game to Selangor 2-1 at home, which was their first defeat to them in 11 years. The visitors have yet to taste victory in the league so far, having drawn their first two games to languish second from bottom.
Having brought in 11 new players, Terengganu have shown glimpses of understanding so far, but have yet to click as a unit. They understandably need some time to gel, and there could be no better place for them to start than by taking the scalp of the LionsXII at Jalan Besar Stadium.
