Influential captain, Hairuddin Omar, has admitted the never-give up attitude that was instilled by the coach is the key to their success in the Charity Shield.
This was the first time ATM had lifted the cup since 1990 and Hai-O said that after they trailed by 1-0, ATM played like normal with no panic at all.
"In the first half we played with care and did not have many attempts, but after conceding one goal our coach told us that we just had to continue the game and enjoy it. Finally, we got the goal that we were looking for."
Speaking to Sinar Harian, he also thanked the fans that came to the stadium. He also believes that the combination of experienced and new players gave them the edge in the decisive penalty shooutout.
