Johor FC will now be known as Johor Darul Takzim, according to The Crown Prince of Johor

Beginning next season, Johor FC will compete in Super League using their new name, 'Johor Darul Takzim'

The Crown Prince Of Johor, Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim released a statement that Johor FC will now be known as Johor Darul Takzim.

His Highness mentioned that, based on the stated law by Football Associaton of Malaysia (FAM) , Johor Football Associations (PBNJ) has been asked to use the club's name registered in accordance with the Sports Commissioner.

Hence, Johor FC under the Johor Corporation has been fully taken over by PBNJ will use the new name, which is Johor Darul Takzim. This team will compete in Super League next season while Johor, who will compete in the Premier League, will continue using that name.

His Highness also said that on behalf of PBNJ, he apologized to the media and Johor Football fans if there is any confusion regarding this matter.
